Very glad I entered "Australia Speaks"

I enjoy a challenge especially since I am feeling so much better all round. I entered the Aussie Polyclayers competition and stiff competition it was. The task was to enter a piece that reflected some aspect of Australia. I chose a rain forest theme because I live in the sub tropics. Congratulations to Esme and Christelle for winning the judges choice and members choice award. All the pieces were truly beautiful and maybe next time more will enter. To have a look click on the title of this post. The thing I really enjoyed about it was the focus it gave me to achieve something and follow through with the entry. This is the beginning of the new me. Sure it would have been nice to have won but life isn't about winning but participating and that in itself is a win for me. I feel like I've spent most of my life on the periphery looking in on the activities of life and never really participating in anything with enthusiasm. Now I feel the best I've ever felt because the fog is lifting and I'm excited just waking up in the morning.
I really enjoyed designing and making this photo frame come to life. The middle piece has now been removed and the frame was sold for $45 to a lady who wants to put a photo of her daughter in it. Now she has commissioned me to make one for her son. Who says I didn't win!!!!!

Wow, congrats to you. Such a deal. Who removed the middle piece and who sold it?? Did it sell from the show. Did you just post or was it a place to take the items? Good stuff!!! You did win and will keep on winning!!!

Hi Anonymous,I removed the middle piece deliberately to sell it as a photo frame. I sold it when the buyer was looking at some of my pieces and was actually looking for a photo frame. What she noticed first was the frog and said her daughter would love it. It was only half finished at that stage. Thank you for your interest.

Janis, what a wonderful perspective you have on life! Your frame is absolutely gorgeous and I'm so glad for you that you've sold that and even got an order for another! Just shows you that you ARE indeed a winner!
Great work and thanks so much for participating! Your wonderful frame really added to the high standard of the entries...
